From My Toronto Studio to Your Home—Art That Captures Warmth and Connection

As a Toronto-born artist, I’ve always had a passion for creativity—starting in childhood with colouring books, sketchpads, and endless doodles. While my career initially took a different direction—graduating from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce and building a career in advertising and marketing—the creative spark never left me. That journey included an 18-month stay in Australia and South East Asia, where I saw many diverse perspectives on visual storytelling.

After nearly two decades raising my two amazing children, I felt a strong pull to return to my artistic roots. What began as a lifelong hobby evolved into a fulfilling second career as a professional painter. Over the past ten years, I’ve immersed myself in techniques that breathe life and colour into each canvas—studying at Toronto’s Freehand Art School and expanding my practice through workshops with mentors like Jed Dorsey, Dianna Shyne, and Aimee Erickson. These experiences helped shape my approach to texture, light, and emotion in every pet portrait, landscape, floral, or figurative work I create.

My paintings are rooted in joy, connection, and storytelling. I work with intention to create pieces that feel personal and vibrant. My subjects range from the personality of a beloved pet or person, to the charm of a cottage or home, to the energy of blooming florals and the tranquility of beautiful landscapes. Through every brushstroke, my goal is to preserve a feeling, a memory, a moment worth holding on to.

I’m proud to be part of Toronto’s thriving art scene, participating regularly in local exhibitions and studio tours as a member of the Bayview Art Tour Group and the North Toronto Group of Artists.
